Traveling To Ghana Requirements

Before one can successfully travel to Ghana, a valid passport is advisable or Travel Document bearing the identity of the holder. Proof of Yellow Fever vaccination is required upon arrival in Ghana for anyone over nine months of age. Sometimes a Covid test is possible if the traveler is from a Covid-prone country.

Foreign nationals who are over six years old and who have been physically present in Ghana for a period of 90 days or more are required to register with the National Identification Authority (NIA). The NIA will issue registered foreign nationals a non-citizen Ghana card. The non-citizen Ghana card will be necessary for all transactions that require identification, for example getting bank accounts, obtaining work permits, acquiring driver’s licenses, etc.

A traveler will also be required to travel along with a mosquito repellent because it is easy for a traveler to acquire any of the following illnesses, Malaria, Yellow Fever, Dengue fever, TB, and Typhoid fever. You should travel along with adequate supplies of needed prescription medicines, along with copies of your prescriptions, the generic name of the drugs, and a supply of preferred over-the-counter medications.

Nana  Badu Bonsu II was an Ahanta king who was hanged and beheaded by the Dutch on the 27th of July 1838.
